Cityfolk Jazznet Legacy Concert
Please note that this concert will be performed at the Sears Recital Hall, on the first floor of the Jesse Philips Humanities Center (not Fitz Hall).
David Hazeltine is one of the most recorded jazz pianists of his generation, with three dozen albums as a leader and hundreds more as a sideman on various major labels globally. A Milwaukee native, Hazeltine was formerly an Associate Professor at the Berklee College of Music. He currently teaches at SUNY-Purchase in New York. His teaching has had a major impact on many of today’s young professional pianists. Hal Leonard published the new “Real Book, "Enhanced Edition,” featuring David’s own re-harmonizations of 200 well-known standards. He’ll be joined for this concert by Rodney Whitaker (bass) and Joe Farnsworth (drums).
Directions to Sears: From Brown Street, go EAST on Kiefaber Street. Where the road ends, turn LEFT onto Evanston Ave, (the UD Rec Center will be directly in front of you), turn LEFT into the C parking lot.
