Eligibility

The program is open to those who will be current students during the summer of 2020. University of Dayton students from the College of Arts and Sciences or School of Engineering who will have completed their first year by May 20, 2020 are eligible to apply. Sinclair Academy students who will have completed their first year by May 20, 2020 with a pathway major in the College of Arts and Sciences or School of Engineering are eligible to apply. Students who will graduate in Spring 2020 are not eligible.

Participants must be available to conduct full-time research for 10 weeks over the summer term. Students identifying as a person from underrepresented minorities in STEM fields or with financial need are encouraged to apply.

Applicants will need to answer the following questions and provide the necessary information as shown below:

  • Overall GPA
  • One-page resume
  • Describe your professional or vocational goals (up to 250 words)
  • How do you hope the ISE Summer CoRPs experience will help you achieve your goals? (up to 250 words)
  • Address any project-specific prerequisites and optionally describe relevant research experience
  • Rank ordering of your project preferences (up to 3)
