Malawi Graduate Fellowship

The Malawi Graduate Fellowship is a program designed to support a University of Dayton recent graduate or graduating senior with a yearlong field experience working as a Program Officer for Determined to Develop. Upon completion of the program, the student receives a graduate assistantship at the Human Rights Center and scholarship to enroll and pursue a Masters program at the University of Dayton.

The University of Dayton will provide full travel support and living expenses for the field work period and full tuition and stipend during the graduate assistantship contingent upon full and successful completion of all requirements.

    2019 graduate with degrees in Human Rights Studies and Spanish, Rebecca is currently in Chilumba, Malawi spending the year working as a Program Officer with Determined to Develop.

    2018-2019: Lauren Durnwald

    2018 graduate with degrees in Human Rights Studies and Psychology, Lauren spent a year in Chilumba, Malawi working as a Program Officer with Determined to Develop.

    2017-2018: Whitney Strause

    Whitney served as a program officer for Determined Develop with a main focus on women and girl's empowerment programming, donor relations, monitoring & evaluation, and strategic initiatives.
