Key Initiatives

Key initiatives of the Center aim to bridge the gap between theory and practice, between scholars and practitioners. By drawing scholars, practitioners, and top notch organizations to the University, the Center catalyzes critical reflection and innovation in the field of human rights, and celebrates institutions and individuals who have significantly contributed to combating injustice.

Conference

The Social Practice of Human Rights

Our biannual conference, SPHR, provides a unique space for scholars and practitioners to engage in collaboration, dialogue and critical analysis of advocacy, locally and globally. SPHR conversations forge alliances and help set agendas for research, advocacy and action.
