Our biannual conference, SPHR, provides a unique space for scholars and practitioners to engage in collaboration, dialogue and critical analysis of advocacy, locally and globally. SPHR conversations forge alliances and help set agendas for research, advocacy and action.
Explore SPHRIn 2000, the University established the Romero Human Rights Award. It commemorates the ministry and martyrdom of Saint Romero and honors an individual or organization whose work has contributed significantly to the alleviation of the suffering of the human family.
View AwardeesThe Center hosts visiting human rights researchers and advocates from around the world. These visitors bring us new and challenging perspectives on human rights and advocacy. The program gives them the time and resources to reflect on their work, write, teach and speak.
Visiting Scholar-PractitionerThe driving force behind the Center is a diverse group of dedicated faculty, staff, and students each bringing their own expertise and knowledge to our work in the human rights arena.
