Chelcie Barnett

Chelcie Barnett

Chelcie recently finished her first year of law school at the University of Dayton School of Law, where she plans to focus her legal education on human rights and environmental law. Prior to law school, Chelcie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and her Master’s degree in Environmental Health and Epidemiology, both at Colorado State University. Chelcie is passionate about building equity and creating a healthier and more just world by finding interdisciplinary and community-based approaches to improve well-being and access to justice. She hopes to use her scientific background, legal training, and experience with the HRC to someday find a position with an international or domestic organization that works toward advancing human rights and equitable access to lifetime necessities. In her spare time, Chelcie enjoys hiking in the mountains, diving in the oceans, and just being.
