We offer weekly opportunities, coaching opportunities and one-time opportunities. Learn more:
Weekly Opportunities
There are many different ways to get involved in the Neighborhood School Centers. If you are able to commit at least one hour per week to volunteering, then you should get involved in the NSC's weekly opportunities. UD students can be a classroom assistant, tutor, mentor, lunchroom assistant, or afterschool care assistant. The weekly volunteer opportunities are very flexible and can be made to fit your class schedule. Note, before you volunteer regularly in the schools, you must attend an orientation.
If you would like to register for weekly volunteer opportunities, please register for a volunteer orientation here:
Coaching
There are many opportunities to be a coach or a coach’s assistant in the schools soccer, cheerleading, and basketball programs. Coaches and assistant coaches do not need to attend orientation, but will need to sign a release. To be a coach, one has to commit to full responsibility and 100% attendance – the team counts on you. Some paid coaching positions are available.
