Educational Equity Programs

The Fitz Center for Leadership in Community's Educational Equity Programs provide University of Dayton students opportunities to collaborate with community schools, nonprofits and government agencies on student learning and development, connecting with families and engaging with the community as Education Impact Partners. The Educational Equity Program focuses on incorporating holistic approaches to tutoring, workshopping, and volunteering. The program also aims to facilitate the professional formation, teaching and coaching of UD students on “rules of engagement," educational pedagogy, racial equity and cultural competency, while providing educational opportunities for K-12 students that will further their educational attainment.

Educational Equity Programs provides students with community engagement opportunities that focus on addressing community identified educational barriers in partnership with local schools, nonprofit organizations and government agencies to build capacity that advances quality scholastic attainment and achievement.
