UD Community Corps

University of Dayton Community Corps is an AmeriCorps program through ServeOhio, administered by the University of Dayton’s Fitz Center for Leadership in Community. In UD Community Corps, members serve to support the out-of-school educational efforts in the community. We are committed to promoting diverse, equitable and inclusive communities.

Members will support a full range of out-of-school educational activities for families living in Dayton. They will provide one-on-one homework help for children, parenting-support activities, social-emotional skill programming for children and their families, locate resources for families in need, empower those families, and facilitate other educational enrichment activities.

As they serve families in the community, members will participate in weekly AmeriCorps meetings to support their journeys as active citizens, and further their professional and personal development. Members receive living allowances, and members upon completion of their service commitment may be eligible for a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award.
