  • ThE 2018 graduating class was the largest in several years.
  • Four students received full-tuition offers in the 2018 cycle.

Mock Trial Success

The University of Dayton's Mock Trial Red Team placed seventh at the AMTA Regional tournament, held at The Ohio State University in February 2018. The American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) is the umbrella organization governing collegiate mock trial, and the regional tournaments are the first round of AMTA's annual national tournament structure. That seventh-place finish earned seniors Anna Choquette an Outstanding Witness Award and Raika Casey an Outstanding Attorney Award.

The Red Team (top of page) earned a trip to Hamilton, OH to participate in the Opening Round Championship Series, or ORCS, as one of 164 teams to advance out of about 700 teams competing across the country this year. The University of Dayton is proud to host one of only eight ORCS host sites across the country. While the Red Team didn’t advance out of ORCS to Nationals, sophomore attorney Bryan Borodkin did win an Outstanding Attorney Award. Go, Bryan! We’re very proud of the season the Red Team had, and of the first-year Blue Team as well as they learned. Go, Flyers!
