The University of Dayton is a fully accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music. The music therapy degree is also approved by the American Music Therapy Association. Our music education degree is licensed by the State of Ohio.

Our department offers programs including a Bachelor of Music in music composition, music education, music performance and music therapy. We offer a Bachelor of Arts in Music with concentrations in ethnomusicology, jazz studies and music studies. Minors are offered in music and music technology. Auditions are required for admission to our B.M. programs.

The University of Dayton Chorale is a highly motivated group of students who strive for excellence through the art of choral music. If you want to grow as a musician, learn new and challenging music, and travel within the US and abroad, audition for this phenomenal group.
Our students are involved, inside and outside of the classroom. Be a part of it.
Our goal is to showcase and preserve Dunbar's literary career by giving public access to the myriad of ways his work has been presented, particularly in the musical arena.
The Dayton Opera Apprentice program is an innovative opportunity for students to expand horizons and gain experience in the field of vocal performance.
