English
Undergraduate Program
Our undergraduate degree provides an understanding of language and literature from rhetorical, creative, critical, historical, comparative and global perspectives. We offer tracks in creative writing, literary and cultural studies, professional and technical writing and rhetoric and writing. We also offer a student-designed track for those students who have a specific project in mind or want to study a combination of writing and literature. We also offer two interdisciplinary certificates: (1) Writing and (2) Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
Many courses offered by the Department of English satisfy degree requirements of the University's Common Academic Program (CAP).
Minor Programs
The Department of English offers a handful of minors for students, including Rhetoric, Literature, Creative Writing and Professional and Technical Writing.
