A Showcase of Music and Dance

Students perform at Celebration of the ArtsAt the University of Dayton, we believe in the power of the arts to transform lives and build community. We invite all students to participate in the arts, and all members of our community to join us for this evening of music and dance that will move, inspire and uplift.

The showcase of music and dance usually features the Symphonic Wind Ensemble, University Orchestra, University Chorale, Bella Voce, Ebony Heritage Singers, World Music Choir, Javanese Gamelan, University Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, Vocal Performance Ensemble and UD Dance Ensemble.


Stander Symposium

The Celebration of the Arts is held each spring in conjunction with the annual Brother Joseph W. Stander Symposium. Symphonic music to jazz, gospel to Javanese gamelan, opera to modern dance: each year, this diverse and lively program celebrates the artistic accomplishments of students from across the University.

Our Academic Programs

Students from all majors taking courses offered by the departments of Art and Design and Music, and the Theatre, Dance and Performance Technology Program make this annual event a diverse and rounded experience.
