Student Employment for Undergraduates

Whether you work two hours a week or 20, it can make a big difference in helping pay for your education — not to mention enriching your studies. And national research shows that students who work part-time while in college perform better academically.

All University of Dayton students, regardless of financial need, may apply for University-funded employment opportunities on campus. Positions are available in most on-campus departments. Hourly wage is based on experience and job description but starts at Ohio's minimum rate wage. Students will receive a bi-monthly paycheck to apply to their expenses, as needed.

Federal work study is awarded to those undergraduates who demonstrate financial need and positions are available in most on-campus departments. To see if you're eligible for this type of employment, complete the FAFSA so results can be to the University by May 1.

Review the Student Employee Handbook (.pdf) to learn more about the employment process, required documentation and eligibility requirements.
