Federal Emergency HEERF Assistance Notification

If you received a text message about federal emergency assistance, the University of Dayton Office of Financial Aid has identified students who are eligible to receive federal emergency HEERF assistance based on the FAFSA. Eligible students have been notified via email on 11/01/2021. Please be sure to read the email message from the Office of Financial Aid for more details and to confirm your eligibility.

As a recipient of the emergency assistance, you are not required to repay it. You can use these funds to support emergency costs that you have experienced due to the pandemic, such as tuition, food, housing, or health care. Alternatively, you can use this assistance to support any educational expenses including those related to the fall semester or upcoming spring semester.

If you haven’t yet received the funds, you should expect to receive them in two weeks via direct deposit or a mailed check. No action is required from you to receive these funds.
