Our Competitive Edge
Community and Nationwide Partnerships
The Kern Family Foundation’s recent $2 million grant will greatly expand off-campus collaborations, foster high-touch relationships with University faculty and industry and community partners to co-develop curriculum that presents real-world situations and problems, and help students better connect theory and practice.
In addition, the grant will enable the University of Dayton to play a vital role in the strategic expansion of KEEN — The Kern Family Foundation plans to add 42 new partner institutions to the network by 2020, more than doubling membership. UD KEEN Faculty Ambassadors will visit each new institution to help jumpstart their KEEN initiatives. This involvement will help build the university’s reputation and help connect faculty and students with like-minded individuals from across the country.
