Student Engagement and Philanthropy

Creating and Maintaining a Lifelong Relationship with UD

Through passionate engagement and targeted financial support, University of Dayton students actively enhance campus and their own UD experiences while they learn about the philanthropic power of community through engaged action. It’s hands-on learning that makes a difference right now.

Olivia Jez-Belden

Supporting the community we love furthers UD’s Marianist mission — and our pursuit of the common good for all — while increasing our global reputation and the value of all UD degrees well into the future. As Flyers we all live UD’s call to learn, lead and serve. As advocates for UD, we also Go. Give. Lead. We go to events and support fellow Flyers. We give back to the areas or organizations at UD we love. And we lead by example, sharing our passion as well as our support for our entire UD community.

Through involvement with organizations like Students for University Advancement, there are many opportunities for professional and personal development. Through programs like Flyer Funder, and connections with alumni groups like day10, UD’s young alumni executive committee, our students are gaining hands-on experiences that will support their work after graduation and create a lifelong connection to UD.

Students for University Advancement

Students today. Alumni tomorrow. Flyers forever.

When you become a member of a group like SUA, you open doors to greater possibilities for yourself and others.

You’ll go to events and work with UD fundraising and engagement professionals while having the opportunity to network with fellow Flyers, University leaders and future colleagues. You will experience how giving back to UD through your time, expertise and donations has a direct impact on the people and programs you love, especially when you can increase your impact through activities like Flyer Funder and UD’s successful giving day — One Day, One Dayton. And you will lead other Flyers as a member of SUA as you inspire gratitude and impact the entire UD experience while making a UD education even more accessible and enriching.

Being at UD and a member of SUA, I’ve been given a ton of opportunities for growth on a personal and professional level. I love that there are so many ways I can get involved on campus that allow me to continuously further my experience towards my career goals, while also meeting new people and forming lifelong friendships.
