Parent Giving Is Powerful

As a Marianist institution, the University of Dayton is committed to educating the whole person. Your student is embarking on a journey to discover their vocation. They will learn, lead and serve through experiential learning, faith development, undergraduate research, as well as career and service opportunities. The University’s tradition of parent giving is a vital component of helping create these robust student experiences.

Donors change lives. They absolutely changed my life. There’s no way I’d be in college if I hadn’t received a scholarship.

Jamel Gross-Cassel ’20

As the parent or guardian of a UD student, you have the opportunity to impact all UD students through the parent giving program. Because tuition doesn’t cover the full UD experience, donor support helps bridge the tuition gap and provide a full UD experience for all students.

Your gifts can keep a classmate at UD, advance a program or organization you and your student are passionate about, and support many areas that parents care about such as scholarships, student mental health and wellness, campus safety, career services and more.

Not sure where to give? Consider one of these funds:

  • Parent Fund
  • Student Crisis Fund
  • UD Fund
  • This fund primarily supports students through wellness programming, healthy late-night activities and campus safety. Parents are also contributing to help students in need due to COVID-19.

    Give to the Parent Fund

Created in 2010, this fund assists students who experience an unanticipated emergency requiring immediate financial assistance when alternative sources of funding have been explored.

This general fund allows the University the most flexibility to address areas of immediate need, which is especially important during times like the current pandemic.
