Choose Your Challenge

Current Student Challenge
(2:1 match – all day)

Matt Lambiase ’88, will contribute $2 for every $1 contributed towards the student’s designation of choice. For example, when a current student gives $5 to support fellow Flyers, Mr. Lambiase will chip in an additional $10 - up to $25,000!

"As a proud graduate of UD's class of '88, I choose to give back because I know how much my support impacts the opportunities and experiences that are provided for current students. These experiences and opportunities are often what make our students successful in their chosen paths after graduation. During One Day, One Dayton I invite all current students to identify the UD scholarship or program most meaningful to you and make a gift of any size to support your fellow classmates. As an extra incentive I have dedicated $25,000 to match your gift 2:1 to the UD designation of your choice. Let's show the UD community the impact current students can have during One Day, One Dayton!" - Matt Lambiase ’88

Alumni Association Board Challenge for Young Alumni
(1:1 match - noon to 11:59 p.m. EDT)

In recognition of the future leadership these undergraduate alumni will have at the University of Dayton, the current Alumni Association Board pledges to make a gift up to $25,000 to provide a 1:1 match for all undergrad young alumni (graduates from years 2009 – 2018) who make their gift between noon and 11:59 p.m. EDT during One Day, One Dayton. Make your gift and support your favorite UD scholarship or program – The designation you choose will receive twice the impact!

"As a young alumni from the class of '16, I've seen the impact of my UD education in my day to day, and want to make sure current students can achieve the same. By supporting UD, we can unlock amazing opportunities for current students to discover their passions in the same way we did just a few years ago. By donating even just $5, the combination of all the young alumni's gifts can be the difference for students to study abroad, get an amazing internship or have the best experiential learning opportunity on campus. With One Day, One Dayton, you can also decide which of these experiences, or any others from your time on campus, you want to support! I'm excited to see young alumni come together and create amazing opportunities for those on campus!" - Khristian Santiago '16

"As I learned more about what is happening on campus and meeting the students, I found a cause I am passionate about at UD - Flyers Enterprises! Basically, these are student-run businesses on campus (think of a mini-corporation with a P&L statement run by students as CEO, CFO, etc.) This program was rated fourth best in the country out of ALL universities. They employ over 200 students, but more work needs to be done. Consider this - They have over 700 applicants for 200 jobs, so more businesses need to be created to hire more students. These students are in such demand they all find jobs at the best companies in the USA. To further their growth, I have pledge another $15,000 to support their mission. Challenge is to raise more money to help drive the student experience and create a diverse campus. We can help make a difference." -Kevin Tarrant ’79

"Love of science, lasting friendships, a deepening of my Catholic faith, the joy of being part of a loving community, the need to work for social justice. These are the charisms of the University of Dayton that have shaped my life and guided my activities from my days as a student through my time now as an advisor for UD. After a tour of campus and the opportunity to speak with students, my wife noted 'this place really is special.' We are delighted to participate in the One Day, One Dayton campaign to support both the students and faculty at UD to enable them to 'Learn, Lead, and Serve.'" - Fred Tenover '76
