Give a Qualified Charitable Distribution Through an IRA
Are you over the age of 70? If so, there is an excellent way to continue your support of the University of Dayton and lower your taxes! After the age of 70½, you can make a tax-free direct gift from your IRA, up to $100,000 per year, to eligible charities, like UD. The transfer does not create taxable income for you nor does it allow you to take a tax deduction for the gift, so you benefit even if you do not itemize your taxes.
