Morning Events

Kennedy Union Lobby

Open to all Reunion Weekend attendees and their guests.

Kennedy Union Au Bon Pain (1st floor)

This is a pay-as-you-go option.

Starts in front of the RecPlex

Join us for a casual and fun run or walk around campus with fellow alums. There is a three mile course and a one mile course. Feel free to walk, push a stroller or just meander at your own pace. Afterwards, we'll have refreshments for all participants.  We will have a clock to see your time but no official results will be recorded.

Dayton Marriott (by invitation only)

This is a special brunch to recognize our reunion volunteers as well as the commitment of our donors and the significant impact their gift has on the university, its students, faculty and staff. The ways in which the University honors annual and sustained support are listed below. If needed, a shuttle bus will be available to take you from campus to the Dayton Marriott.

  • John Stuart society
    Honors donors whose lifetime giving totals $100,000 or more.
  • Leo Meyer society
    Honors donors who have a commitment to the University through their wills or other planned gifts.
  • 1850 Society
    Honors donors whose annual gifts total $1,850 or more, including matching gifts.
  • Front porch society
    Recognizes those who make an annual gift to the University for three or more consecutive years.

Take a tour of your beautiful campus to see all the exciting changes. Tours are lead by our wonderful student ambassadors.  A second tour will be offered at 1:30 p.m.

Afternoon Events

P Lot

Join us for another great afternoon of food trucks, craft beers and friends! Everyone is invite to have lunch with some of Dayton's finest food trucks, local craft beer as well as sit back and relax listening to live music. There is a $5 entrance fee. All other food and drink is pay-as-you-go. The event will happen rain or shine.

Roesch Library and the Learning Teaching Center (LTC)

Stop by to see the Roesch Library renovations completed in 2019!  Also be sure to stop by the LTC to see what is happening there.

If you’re an alumnus living in Ohio, you can also register for a free borrowing card at the access services desk. For more information on alumni cards, click here. Did you work in the library as a student employee? Stop by during the open house for a special keepsake.

Immaculate Conception Chapel

Come see the beautiful renovations and learn of all the intricate details that went into our beloved chapel. Members of the Chapel renovation committee will be present to answer questions. A short presentation on the renovations will be given periodically throughout the open house.

Central Mall Tent

Were you a part of a shared interest group such as a fraternity, sorority, sports group or any other group while on campus? If so, email if your group would like to get together during Reunion Weekend. A cash bar will be available. Each group will also have a group picture taken. 

University Libraries Open House: Roesch Library and the Marian Library

Take a tour of the newly renovated second floor; browse beautiful works of art and Nativity scenes; and talk to faculty and staff about the first-floor renovations completed in summer 2019. While you’re there, you can learn about alumni borrowing privileges; make your own button to wear to the Porch Party; browse yearbooks; and see a volume of the breathtaking Heritage Edition of the Saint John’s Bible.

Evening Events

Celebrating the Golden Flyers, class of 1970 and 1975.

Join President Eric Spina for a special reception specifically for the current Golden Flyers along with our newest Golden Flyer inductees, the class of 1970 and as well as the class of 1975.

C Lot

This casual event under a tent will give you the chance to mingle with UD alumni from all reunion classes as you enjoy the live music. You can hang out on a mock front porch and get a picture with your friends with our photo booth. Cost per person includes food, beer, wine and entertainment.
