Peer-to-Peer Ambassador FAQ

A peer is a fellow Flyer! You can select to contact your roommates, teammates, classmates, or even friends from your favorite organization as a student. You can choose if you want to contact your close UD friends or prefer Flyers you share a common affinity with, such as class year or major. The UD staff will assist you with this pairing.

There is an initial 30 minute volunteer orientation, after which you set your own schedule for peer outreach. There are three to four outreach periods a year known as “sprints” when you will be asked to send 2 or more messages to your peers.

YES! You can create your own strategies to ask your peers to join you in support of UD without asking for specific dollar amounts. Your P2P team will provide you with talking points, templates and scripts to help you.

No — we want you to be comfortable and confident with your outreach. As a part of this program you will outreach to fellow Flyers through a safe, secure online softwaren program - you can send an email/text/call.

Absolutely. The 30 minute volunteer orientation is completed virtually through a live Zoom training. Additionally, all of your outreach to your peers can be done from anywhere you have access to a computer, tablet, or phone.

“Sprints” are periods throughout the year where ambassadors communicate to their fellow Flyers about the importance of giving back to the University.There are three to four “sprints” which typically occur in September, December, March/April (One Day, One Dayton), and June.
