Peer-to-Peer Ambassador FAQ

Click on a question below to view the answer.

The role of volunteer ambassador requires about 1.5 - 2 hours of active time per month. There is an initial 45 minute volunteer orientation, after which you set your own schedule for peer outreach.

Absolutely. The 45 minute volunteer orientation webinar can be accessed from any computer, and your outreach to your peers can be done from anywhere.

By peer, we are referring to individuals with whom you have a close personal relationship from your time at UD — roommates, teammates, etc.

No — we want you to be comfortable and confident with your outreach. This program is all about tapping into your existing peer network, so you will be calling / texting / emailing / messaging your UD friends, not strangers.

YES! You can create your own strategies to ask your peers to join you in support of UD without asking for specific dollar amounts. Your P2P team will provide you with talking points, templates and scripts to help you.

“Sprints” are 3-week periods throughout the year where ambassadors communicate the importance of giving back to the University to their selected peers.

You can share your personal UD stories and memories, pictures, and latest UD news!
