UDSA Benefits and Information
As a member of the UD Sinclair Academy, you'll be a part of both campus communities from day one. This seamless experience allows you to build friendships, get involved, receive consistent academic advising and easily transfer your credits. Student life and academic benefits include:

- Opportunity to participate in Sinclair’s student organizations, arts and athletics programs and recreation facilities.
- Opportunity to participate in 260+ student clubs and organizations at UD, as well as retreats, faith communities and more.
- Ability to use UD’s RecPlex, join intramural teams and cheer on the Dayton Flyers.
- Support from academic advisers on both campuses. Regular meetings with your UD adviser will help keep you on track toward your degree.
- Access to Success Professionals to assist you with navigating Sinclair and UD.
- Support from UD's Multi-Ethnic Education and Engagement Center, which provides resources and programs to support the success of students of color and to increase the cultural competency of all students.
- Access to UD career advising, job fairs, and opportunities to build your résumé through co-ops, internships, research or education abroad.

The UD Sinclair Academy offers an affordable way to earn a four-year degree. As a member of the Academy, you'll benefit from:
- Affordable Sinclair tuition — among the lowest in the state — while enrolled at Sinclair College.
- UD tuition and costs are locked in with your transparent financial aid offer. There are no hidden fees and no surprises.
- Automatic consideration for a UD merit scholarship, worth up to $29,000 each year at UD.*
- Eligibility for UD grants, loans, and work study experiences designed for Academy students.
- Eligibility for a textbook scholarship worth up to $500 each semester at UD.
- Eligible first-generation students who apply by February 1 will be considered for the Kessler Scholars program.
To be considered for financial aid, file the FAFSA for both Sinclair and UD.
*Additional tuition discounts may be available for majors in the School of Education and Health Sciences.
To apply to the UD Sinclair Academy, complete the free UD Sinclair Academy online application and submit additional application materials, based on student type.
- Current Sinclair Students
Students currently enrolled at Sinclair College must have at least 15 credit hours completed on their desired pathway and have a minimum 3.0 GPA, as well as submit:- Official final high school completion document.
- Official Sinclair College transcript. (Upon receipt of your application, UD will request your transcript directly from Sinclair College.)
- Official transcripts from any other college(s) you have attended.
- Current High School Students
High school students must meet UD’s undergraduate admission requirements for entering first-year students, as well as submit:- Official high school completion document.
- Official college transcripts for credit earned from College Credit Plus or Dual Enrollment, if applicable.

Minimum Credit Requirements
Students pursuing pathways in the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business Administration or School of Education and Health Sciences must complete the associate degree before transferring to UD.
Those pursuing pathways in the School of Engineering must complete a minimum of 30 semester hours at Sinclair College.
If you've been admitted into the Academy, simply:
- Apply for Sinclair admission by completing their online application.
- Apply for financial aid at fafsa.gov.
- Call the Sinclair Welcome Center (937-512-3000) to discuss your next steps, which include scheduling an academic advising appointment to create a MAP (My Academic Plan), and discussing questions about financial aid or registration.
- Confirm enrollment in your Admission Portal.
- After confirming your enrollment, log in to Porches to view your personalized To-do List.
