Undergraduates and Law students, who pay a Basic University Fee, are not charged for consultations, examinations, and treatments at the Health Center by physicians and nurses.

Graduate and IEP students are charged for each Health Center visit because they do not pay a Basic University Fee. The charge for a physician consultation is $45 to $75, depending on the length of visit and the type of services provided.

All students are charged for:

  • Medicines dispensed
  • Laboratory tests
  • X-ray examinations
  • Miscellaneous items dispensed (e.g., crutches, splints)

Making Payments

All charges are reported to the Bursar's Office and entered on the student's account with the University. Insurance companies are not billed directly; however, students may request an itemized statement.

All charges may be paid at the Bursar's Office.

Insurance and Pharmacy Cards

All students should bring a copy of their health insurance/pharmacy card(s) to each visit in the event that medication needs to be ordered from an outside pharmacy, a referral to a specialist is needed or for some laboratory testing.

Missing Appointments

Students who miss more than 2 scheduled (15 minute) appointments without canceling at least one hour prior to their appointment time will incur a $25 charge on their Bursar bill for each further missed appointment/late cancellation during the same school year (July 1st through June 30th).

Students scheduled for a half hour appointment will incur a $25 charge for a missed appointment/late cancellation beginning with their first appointment.
