Congratulations to Erik Blaine '06, Kate Bowling '08 and Will Harrelson '11 for being included in the Dayton Business Journal's 2014 list of winners for the 40 Under 40 Awards program.

Franklin, Ohio, attorney Andrew C. Eggers '13 has joined Eggers Woods Attorneys at Law. Eggers earned his juris doctorate in the accelerated two-year program at the University of Dayton School of Law. He was treasurer of his class in the Student Bar Association and served as representative-at-large for the executive board.

Tom Ferguson '97, formerly of Kelley Drye and Warren in Chicago, has opened his own law practice, Ferguson Corporate Law Ltd., in Libertyville, Ill.

Mike Sandner '94, was featured in the March edition of the Pickrel, Schaeffer and Ebeling newsletter, On the Legal Wire. Sandner is a shareholder with the firm and represents individuals and businesses with issues involving consumer, construction, insurance and commercial disputes.

Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP welcomed April E. Ward '10 as an associate with the firm. Ward focuses her practice on intellectual property matters, including patent preparation and prosecution of both domestic and foreign applications, and assessment of patentability, patent validity, and patent infringement. She has worked with clients in an array of industries, including pharmaceutical companies, financial institutions and manufacturers. Ward's experience includes work in the chemical, materials science, mechanical, pharmaceutical and biotechnological arts. She is licensed to practice in Ohio and before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.
