Paul Juhasz '82 of the Juhasz Law Firm, located in Houston, Texas, announced a strategic alliance with Cavelier Abogados, a commercial and intellectual property law firm headquartered in Bogota, Colombia. Both firms will work together with universities and companies in Colombia to monetize their patents and IP assets. 

James Casey '88, PILT Advisory Board member, recently accepted the position of interim director of pre-award services at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Hon. Mary Kate Huffman '90 was recently named President of the Dayton Bar Association. Judge Huffman replaces UDSL alumnus, Paul B. Roderer, Jr. ’94.

Michael D. Kendall '00, a Marks Gray, P.A. associate, was named a 2013 Florida Rising Star. Marks Gray is located in Jacksonville, Florida.

Matt Donahue '05 was promoted to Section Chief for Special Prosecutions for the Ohio AG's office.

Mitchell P. Hedrick '11 joined Heyl Royster as a member of the Peoria office. Mitch focuses his practice in the area of civil litigation, including railroad litigation, insurance coverage, commercial motor carrier litigation, and tort litigation. 

Births

Jason Gerstein '99 and Sharon Diamant '99 welcomed Henry Jacob Gerstein, born Sept. 24, 2012. Henry joins big brothers Justin and Joshua and big sister Hayley.
