Student Health Insurance

The University of Dayton has followed the trend of most schools by requiring that all students carry health insurance. Therefore, when you start classes, we expect you to be covered by some type of health insurance. This requirement will continue as long as you are a student at the University of Dayton School of Law.

Having health insurance protects both you and the UD community, of which you are a member. The lack of insurance not only jeopardized a person's health, but financial well-being, a factor considered by the bar when evaluating character and fitness.

Each year, we review our personal living expense budget to cover costs such as this one. One option to consider is the insurance plan offered through the University of Dayton by United Health Care Student Resources. (The University does not generate income from this policy.) The American Bar Association (ABA) also offers a health insurance plan for law students. Instructions to access both plans are below:

University of Dayton Student Health Insurance

  1. Go to www.uhcsr.com
  2. Click on "Find My School's Plan"
  3. In the School/Association box, type in "University of Dayton"
  4. Click on the University of Dayton link

ABA Student Health Insurance

  1. Go to www.uhcsr.com
  2. Click on "Find My School's Plan"
  3. In the School/Association box, type in "ABA"
