One of the core values of the ETHOS program is partnership. We believe in working with an in-country host for all of our projects so our work may be most useful to the community and our solutions may reflect the true needs of the locals. Below is a list of some of our partners from the past years.
COLLABORATION AND COMMITMENT TO A COMMON MISSION AND VISION
Appropriate Infrastructure Development Group (AIDG) helps individuals and communities recieve affordable and environmentally sound access to electricity, sanitation and clean water. Through a combination of business incubation, education, and outreach, they give people the opportunity to use technology that will better their health and improve their lives.
AMMID (Asociación Maya-Mam de Investigación y Desarrollo) is a non-profit organization whose members live in the Comitancillo area of Guatemala. The NGO is managed and staffed by Mayan people from the Mam culture. It was established in 1997 to facilitate the development of self-sufficiency of its members. AMMID serves as a centre for training, research and community projects.
Blue Rock's goal is to demonstrate a series of alternative building techniques and sustainable ways of living. Projects at the station include earthship buildings, straw bale structures, cord wood structures and much more. Blue Rock also has a series of garden projects.
Chaminade College is an educational institution run by the Marianist religious since 1958. The school is dedicated to help keep the environment clean and healthy.
The mission of Grupo Fenix is to contribute to the well-being of rural communities, creating an awareness of sustainable lifestyles through technical and cultural exchange, research in the field of renewable energy, and advocacy of sustainable technologies.
Hand-to-Hand is a non-profit organization dedicated to help change the lives of the Haitian people by providing them with proper essentials of living, such as education, health care, clothing, food, and clean water.
Heart to Honduras is a holistic organization centered in Christ with the goal to address the Spiritual and Physical needs of the poor in Honduras and beyond.
The Instituto Chaminade Marianistas is a post-secondary technical school which offers a three year career program in Information Communication Technologies (ICT) and a variety of additional extension courses. The mission of the Institute is to promote the development of youth, preferentially the poor from Callao, according to the Marianist educational principles. Thereby increasing employment possibilities by way of a quality integrated technical formation and insertion into the labor market.
Maji Zuwa is a lodge run by a University of Dayton Alumni, Matthew Maroon, striving to build working relationships with the local population and visitors. Maji Zuwa and its partners work to lift the people of Malawi out of poverty using their own abilities and talents rather than hand-outs.
NCIG is a non-profit, non-governmental community-based organization operating since 1996. They work to improve the socio-economic status of the community.
Prolena is a small engineering company located in the capital city of Bolivia. The company is dedicated to the development of rocket stoves, wood dryers, and other types of appropriate technology.
SOLAR ALTERNATIVES AND ASSOCIATED PROGRAMMES (SAAP) - PATNA, INDIA
SAAP is a registered NGO committed to environmental protection and empowerment of the downtrodden. It is a venture undertaken by the Jesuits. The organization uses science and technology to try and serve humanity especially the underprivileged sections of society by providing pollution free and widely available sources of energy.
SUNI SOLAR - MANAGUA, NICARAGUA
As a company, Suni Solar promotes the marvelous resource of the sun in areas where the electric grid does not reach. Their work confronts many challenges due to the process of reaching these areas requires a lot of effort.
