The Giving Angels program delivered gifts to Immaculate Conception School and Mary Queen of Peace School on Friday, December 14, 2012. Families from five schools picked up their gifts. Each family had to unload their gifts from a moving box so the boxes could be returned. The children in each family each received four gifts. The Urban Child Development Resource Center (UCDRC) was able to serve 191 children through the Giving Angels program thanks to generous donors from the University of Dayton that donated the $10 per child to apply to this program. Giving Angels is coordinated by numerous volunteers at Hannah’s Treasure Chest. They find sponsors to host Giving Trees in the community, to make tags, to pick up gifts, sort, and to box and deliver to partners. This is UCDRC’s fifth Christmas partnering with this program.
