Profile

CPT John A. Germanceri, the son of Verna and Anthony Germanceri, and is a native of Greenville, Illinois. CPT Germanceri graduated in 2006 from Spring Arbor University with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Studies with an emphasis in elementary education.  He later enlisted in the Army and attended Officer Candidate School. He earned a commission in the Transportation Corps in August 2007.

CPT Germanceri’s assignments include Distribution and Maintenance Platoon Leader, Battalion Maintenance Officer, and Executive Officer to 54th Forward Support Company, 1st Battalion, 321st Field Artillery Regiment, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Battle Captain, 1st Battalion , 321st Field Artillery Regiment, Bagram, Afghanistan; and Battalion S4, Bravo Company Commander, Battalion S3 for 188th Brigade Support Battalion, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

CPT Germanceri’s military education includes Basic Officer Leadership Course II, Transportation Officer Basic Course, Basic Airborne Course and the Combined Logistics Captain’s Career Course.

CPT Germanceri’s awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Afghanistan Campaign Medal, NATO Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Parachutists Badge, German Parachutists Badge, German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Gold), Combat Action Badge, and the Meritorious Unit Citation.

CPT Germanceri is married to the former Kristin Perry and they have two children; Josiah (3 years) and Broooklyn (1 year).
