Profile
Jennifer Haan is an associate professor in the Department of English with specializations in Applied Linguistics and Rhetoric and Composition. Her research focuses on internationalization in higher education and includes articles examining the literacy practices of international students, approaches to genre instruction for multilingual writers and the role of linguistically responsive instruction in higher education classrooms. She teaches graduate and undergraduate level courses in the TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate program as well as in the writing and teaching tracks of the English major. Her teaching interests include courses related to linguistics, writing theory, textual analysis, and second language acquisition.
