Overview

The Business Research Group (BRG) is located on the picturesque campus of the University of Dayton which is the largest private university in Ohio. We are part of the nationally acclaimed School of Business Administration and have been providing contract research and consulting services to businesses, governments and non-profit organizations since 1986.

BRG functions as a full service market research firm combining the efforts of its full-time staff with selected faculty to accomplish project objectives. We believe that the purpose of research is to improve the quality of your decisions.

Program Evaluation

The Business Research Group (BRG), under the direction of Richard Stock, Ph.D., uses a variety of tools for program evaluations and economic development and analysis studies. BRG has a unique combination of talents because it combines the statistical analysis capabilities that are the fundamental elements of control group-based program evaluations or economic impact studies with private sector expertise in surveys and focus groups, to provide a unique approach to these projects.

Focus Group Research

The Business Research Group (BRG) at the University of Dayton offers the only focus group facility in the Greater Dayton Area. Our multi-camera facility is used to conduct focus groups in a variety of areas including consumer products and services, business-to-business research, usability studies, management issues, personnel issues, and voter perceptions.

We are located on the University of Dayton main campus which is a short distance from downtown Dayton. Our focus group facility was designed and built for focus group research and usability studies. The participant area will be set to your specifications. The adjacent observation area comfortably holds 8 – 10 observers. Guests are greeted in our glass atrium, which sits adjacent to the parking lot, and are walked to a holding room (conference room) where refreshments are served.

BRG welcomes your business to our facility and will work with you on services to provide your organization with as much or as little as your project requires.

Our in-house staff can work with you on the conceptualization of your research and provide moderating services with discussion guide design, coordination of recruiting, and reporting. Or, with 30 years of experience behind us, we can put you at ease and be your out of town facility rental which will include a video technician, 2 copies of the DVD recording, host(s) dedicated to your group, parking and light refreshments for respondents and observers. Other services can be provided upon request.

Economic Research

The Business Research Group (BRG) conducts research and forecasting on issues of local and regional importance. BRG has expertise in forecasting economic trends, as well as forecasting demand for individual products and services. BRG conducts socioeconomic impact studies, economic development planning for governments, and location and site studies.

Market Research

The Business Research Group (BRG) offers comprehensive services in marketing research. Quantitative research services include questionnaire design, sampling, data collection (by mail, telephone (by sub-contract) or on-line) and data analysis. BRG has conducted survey research on consumer products and services, business images, and management strategies.
