Ranger Challenge

Ranger ChallengeRanger Challenge is an elite Cadet competition within Army ROTC. The competition is focused on leadership development through physically demanding and mentally challenging events, centered on basic infantry skills.  Squad-sized teams compete against other schools within 7th Brigade at Fort Knox, Kentucky on their abilities in rifle marksmanship, constructing a one rope-bridge, patrolling, hand grenade assault course, assembly and disassembly of the m16A2, the Army Physical Fitness Test, land navigation, and a 10 Kilometer road march. The competition takes place in the fall and all Cadets in good academic standing are encouraged to participate. Ranger Challenge Cadets conduct physical training five times a week and prepare for the various events most evenings-in order to win the competition.
