By conducting real-world civil infrastructure design in our capstone design class and collaborating with practitioners, industry and government agencies, as well as interdepartmental majors, we prepare you to succeed. Our design studio is the envy of civil engineering programs across the country. Both hardware and software are fully funded or heavily sponsored by numerous firms. In addition, our program is one of a handful offering real-life surveying experience.

About the Undergraduate Civil Engineering Program
Our accredited program delivers an education in the principles and hands-on methods fundamental to the civil engineering profession. With a wide range of possibilities, you can customize your education through technical electives in environmental, geotechnical, structural, transportation and water resource engineering.
In the Marianist tradition, the program is rich in real-world design opportunities and projects that link leadership and service to learning and scholarship. The focus of our scholarship is to advance state-of-the-art designing and build safer, more reliable and more affordable infrastructure.
The broad-based curriculum leading to a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (BCE) degree offers sufficient elective courses, so you can also achieve a concentration in construction, environmental engineering, structures, water resources, geotechnical or transportation.
Civil engineering is the profession in which knowledge of the mathematical and physical sciences gained by study, experience, and practice is applied with judgment to develop ways to economically utilize the materials and forces of nature in improving and protecting the environment and providing structures and facilities for community, industry, and transportation for the progressive well-being of humanity.
The School of Engineering offers a combined Bachelor's Plus Master's Program leading to both a bachelor's degree in an engineering major (chemical, civil, computer, electrical, mechanical, or technology) and a master's degree. Physics majors (College of Arts and Sciences) may also participate. The program is designed for the qualified student who wishes to pursue either greater specialization in a major area or to complement the undergraduate program with a related graduate-level concentration. Most students who select the program have received some advanced placement upon entry to engineering at the first-year level or take occasional summer courses.
The formal request for entrance into this program may be made as early as before the first semester of the student's junior year, but the student should consult their department to determine exactly when this request should be made. Admission requirements include a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 and permission from the chairperson of the department corresponding to the student's undergraduate major.Top
